VT Senate Transportation Committee Hearing 01/30/2026

On January 30, 2026 Vermont Towing Association Inc. President Bob Montminy and Vice President Herb Bartemy were invited to the VT Senate Transportation Committee Hearing in relation to Abandoned Vehicle Towing Rates and Process. They have been invited back to other meetings to be held this week. We feel the committee is really starting to hear the challenges towers have in removing abandoned cars, trucks, RV's, Motor Homes etc. and how the current state reimbursement rates doesn't even come close to covering our cost. The committee is working on a change that should be more fair and equitable and have asked DMV, VSP and other stake holders for input in their future meetings.
